Who I am

This site is run by Alex Lee, 65 Hazleton Way, Waterlooville, Hampshire, England, PO8 9BP, trading as Settled Tools (a sole trader). I'm the data controller for personal information collected through it. Contact: hello@settledtools.co.uk.

What I collect

• Emails you send me. Your name, email address and whatever you tell me. I use it to reply and to deliver what you've bought.
• Payments. Handled by Stripe. I never see or store your full card details. Stripe gives me your name, email, and what you bought.
• Setup details. For services like the missed-call text-back, I also handle your business phone number and the numbers of people who call it, only to provide the service.

What I don't do

This site doesn't use tracking cookies or advertising trackers. I don't sell your data.

Why I use it

To answer you and to deliver and support what you've bought (contract), to keep business and tax records (legal obligation), and to run the business sensibly (legitimate interests).

Who else sees it

Providers that help me deliver the service: Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (website hosting and delivery), Google (email), and, for the text-back service, a telephony provider that sends text messages. They process data on my instructions or under their own terms.

How long I keep it

Customer and payment records for six years for tax purposes. Enquiry emails that don't lead to a purchase for up to 12 months.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or object to how I use it. Email me and I'll respond within a month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
